E-commerce Specialist

About the job

Amundsen Sports is a Norwegian outdoor brand inspired by Roald Amundsen’s heritage and built around an adventurous lifestyle and year-round enjoyment of the outdoors. Since our founding in 2010, we’ve established a strong foothold in the Norwegian market and expanded globally. Our ambition is to become a recognized global brand that challenges the established and brings Norwegian Friluftsliv to the world.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on E-commerce Specialist to join our eCommerce team. This is an operational role that works closely with our Senior E-commerce & Digital Merchandising Manager and contributes to new projects and the continued growth of our online channel.

Key Responsibilities

Website Growth & New Projects: Contribute actively to new projects within the e-commerce department and help grow and improve our website over time. Coordinate and follow up on A/B testing.

Search & Merchandising: Work closely with our Senior E-commerce & Digital Merchandising Manager on search and merchandising, helping keep products, categories, and visuals in great shape based on revenue performance and branding.

Website & Navigation: Support CMS-related tasks for site navigation, bringing a visual eye and attention to detail to our navigation and product pages. Help ensure a best-in-class user journey across all devices, with a focus on continuously improving conversion.

Product Enrichment (Centra): Own the final step of product enrichment for our D2C website—building on the base enrichment from our B2B catalog—and ensure product information remains accurate and up to date.

Launches: Support the preparation of products ahead of launches, working closely with the Senior E-commerce & Digital Merchandising Manager.

E-commerce performance tracking: Stay close to product performance and key e-commerce metrics to help guide day-to-day priorities. Run performance analytics and reporting to inform priorities.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field.

1–2+ years of experience in an E-commerce, Digital Merchandising, or Product Data role.

Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms such as Centra, Shopify, or WooCommerce.

Some technical understanding of, or curiosity about, how headless e-commerce systems work together (commerce platform, CMS, search & merchandising, CRM/email, ERP, PLM).

Detail-oriented and structured, comfortable managing recurring tasks across multiple systems.

It’s a bonus if you:

Have direct experience with Centra, Storyblok, or Klaviyo (or similar platforms).

Have a good eye for visual design, with the ability to support Marketing in building attractive, high-converting product and landing pages.

Personal Characteristics

Proactive and hands-on, comfortable working closely with product data and detail.

A close collaborator who thrives working tightly with a manager, while also being comfortable taking ownership where it’s needed.

Structured and precise, comfortable juggling several ongoing priorities.

Curious about how e-commerce systems fit together, with a genuine interest in product and performance data.

A team player who enjoys contributing ideas and energy in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

What We Offer

A creative and dynamic work environment in a growing international brand.

Hands-on ownership of work that has a real, visible impact on our online store.

A junior role with the opportunity to grow into your own e-commerce development projects over time.

Opportunities for professional and personal development within a young, ambitious team.

Newly renovated offices in central Oslo, designed to reflect the Amundsen spirit.

Employee discount on Amundsen products.

Competitive compensation package, incl. insurance policies for health and travel

If you’re detail-oriented, have a passion for e-commerce, and want to help bring Norwegian Friluftsliv to the world, we’d love to hear from you. Application Deadline

Amundsen Sports was founded in 2010 by Jørgen Amundsen on his family heritage. Roald Amundsen respected and learnt from the Inuits, while exploring cutting edge technology. Amundsen Sports is inspired by his attitude of innovation through tradition.

Amundsen’s take on outdoor is not like the others. We are as adventurous as any, and our sportswear can allow you to conquer the highest mountains in the harshest conditions. But we believe that being an “outdoor brand” is not all about being extreme and pushing the limits. It’s also about having fun and enjoying nature as one big playground. With timeless sportswear of real quality, we take our products seriously but not ourselves too seriously. We never lose our sense of wonder, and never forget that nature is best enjoyed in the company of good friends whom one can share a good laugh with. Play well.

The brand is built up around an adventurous lifestyle and fun all-year outdoor lifestyle and our products are versatile, stylish and long lasting. Today the product range includes technical clothing, outdoor lifestyle clothing, knitwear, footwear, and luggage. Our collection can be seen on www.amundsensports.com

Amundsen Sports is based in Oslo. We are 38 employees, 34 employees in Norway and 4 in the US.
