Job summary

MSWA, Treendale Gardens location, is looking for a Domestic Assistant to provide essential domestic support within our Residential Services team. This permanent part-time role focuses on maintaining a clean, welcoming living environment and delivering person-centred care that respects residents' needs and preferences. Weekend work is required.

You will perform light housekeeping, laundry, PPE restocking, safety reporting, and teamwork with staff to promote dignity and independence for residents.

Qualifications

  • Current Driver's Licence
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker’s Orientation Module Certificate (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, organised, and committed to providing high-quality support
  • Understanding of safe work practices and infection control principles

Responsibilities

  • Provide domestic assistance, including light household cleaning and general housekeeping
  • Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and storing linen and client-related items
  • Clean, sanitise, and maintain clients' urinary equipment in accordance with infection control and hygiene standards
  • Monitor and restock PPE, cleaning products, and other consumables to ensure adequate supplies
  • Identify and report hazards, incidents, and changes in resident wellbeing
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Residential Services team
  • Build positive relationships with residents while promoting dignity and independence
  • Complete documentation and reporting requirements accurately and promptly

As a Domestic Assistant, you'll be a valued member of our Residential Services team, providing essential domestic support that enhances residents' comfort, wellbeing, and quality of life. You'll help maintain clean and welcoming living environments while delivering services in a respectful, person-centred manner that supports individual needs and preferences. This is a permanent part-time opportunity available at our Treendale Gardens location. Weekend work is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide domestic assistance, including light household cleaning and general housekeeping
  • Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and storing linen and client-related items.
  • Clean, sanitise, and maintain clients' urinary equipment in accordance with infection control and hygiene standards
