Job summary

MSWA is seeking a Neurological Liaison Nurse in Western Australia to deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care for clients with neurological conditions, including MS, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, MND, ABI and Stroke. This permanent full-time role can suit Enrolled or Registered Nurses at various career stages and will be based at our Wilson Services Centre.

Enrolled Nurses should bring 3–4 years of relevant experience, preferably in disability or neurological settings, while Registered

Qualifications

  • AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • NDIS Works Orientation Module Certificate (or willing to obtain).
  • Current C Class driver’s licence.
  • Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

  • Complete holistic nursing assessments and develop individualised care plans.
  • Provide direct clinical services including continence, wound care, palliative support and catheter care.
  • Work closely with MSWA’s Allied Health teams to coordinate care.
  • Facilitate timely referrals to internal and external health services.
  • Travel throughout the community to support clients (pool vehicles available).

About The Role

As our Neurological Liaison Nurse, you’ll deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care to clients living with a range of neurological conditions including MS, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, MND, ABI and Stroke.

This is a permanent Full-time position for both Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses at various stages of their careers. This is a permanent full time role will be based in our Wilson Services Centre.

For Enrolled Nurses, we are looking for individuals with a solid foundation of experience (around 3-4 years), with exposure to the disability and/or neurological sector.

For Registered Nurses, we are open to graduate RN’s as well as those with more developed clinical experience. Any experience in disability and/or neurological sector will be highly valued.

Some Of Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
  • Complete holistic nursing assessments and develop individualised care plans
  • Provide direct clinical services (including continence, wound care, palliative support and catheter care – don't worry, we’ll provide training in it all!)
