Job summary

Thor seeks a Mechanical Project Manager to lead the delivery of mechanical packages on major data centre construction projects. You will manage the full mechanical scope from design through installation, commissioning and handover, coordinating with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure safe, on-time, within-budget, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Mechanical Project Management or similar leadership role.
• Strong experience delivering HVAC, cooling, piping, and plumbing systems on large-scale construction projects.
• Experience in data centres or mission-critical facilities is highly desirable.
• Understanding of project delivery, subcontractor management, and construction sequencing.
• Experience using project management and construction software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of mechanical systems from design through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate mechanical subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure installations comply with drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor programme, progress, quality, costs, and resource needs across the mechanical scope.
• Identify and resolve technical, commercial, and construction-related issues.
• Coordinate interfaces between mechanical, electrical, civil, and commissioning teams.
• Ensure health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements are met.
• Support testing, commissioning, system validation, and final handover.
• Provide regular reporting and updates to project leadership and stakeholders.
