Job summary

Ovation Search is assisting a Nordic data centre leader in appointing a Senior Mechanical Project Manager (Piping & Cooling) for Norway. You will lead mechanical and piping packages and oversee cooling systems across demanding data centre environments.

The role requires strong project leadership, extensive experience with piping, HVAC and prefabricated modules, plus travel across Norway to coordinate sites and stakeholders effectively.

Senior Mechanical Project Manager (Piping & Cooling) | Data Centres | Norway

I’m supporting a growing business within the Nordic data centre market to appoint a Senior Mechanical / Piping Project Manager, as they continue to expand their delivery capability across major data centre projects in Norway.

This is a senior project leadership role for someone who understands what it takes to deliver complex mechanical packages within demanding, mission critical environments.

Data centre experience is a key focus for this hire.

You’ll take significant ownership across the project lifecycle, with a particular focus on:

• Mechanical and piping installation
• Cooling and chilled water systems
• Prefabricated piping, modules and skids
• Pumps, valves and associated mechanical equipment
• Planning, procurement and commercial control
• Site execution and coordination
• Testing, flushing and commissioning
• Client, subcontractor and stakeholder management
• Programme, cost, quality and successful handover

We’re looking for someone who can combine strong technical understanding with genuine project leadership.

Someone comfortable taking ownership, making decisions and coordinating multiple interfaces while keeping safety, quality, programme and commercial performance firmly in view.

A strong background delivering data centre projects is highly desirable, combined with significant experience across piping, cooling, HVAC or complex mechanical installation.

Projects may be located across different parts of Norway, so flexibility to travel and work on a project basis will be important.
