Mechanical Site Supervisor – Data Centre Construction
Role Overview
We are seeking two experienced Mechanical Site Supervisors to support the delivery of a major data centre construction project. One position will focus on Cooling Water Piping (CWP) systems, while the other will specialise in Plumbing Systems.
Working as part of the site delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing mechanical installation activities, ensuring works are completed safely, to the required quality standards, and in line with project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily mechanical installation activities on site
- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure works are delivered in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and installation procedures
- Oversee installation works within your area of expertise: CWP Supervisor: Chilled water systems, piping networks, pumps, valves, supports, flushing, and pressure testing OR Plumbing Supervisor: Domestic water, drainage, sanitary systems, and associated infrastructure
- Monitor progress against programme milestones and support project delivery objectives
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements, inspections, and testing procedures
- Identify and resolve technical, installation, and coordination issues
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across all activities
- Liaise with construction, QA/QC, design, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Support testing, commissioning, system validation, and handover activities
- Maintain accurate site documentation, including progress updates and daily reports
Experience & Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience supervising mechanical installations on large-scale construction projects
- Proven experience in either Cooling Water / HVAC Piping Systems, OR Plumbing and Public Health Systems
- Experience within data centres, mission-critical facilities, industrial projects, or complex MEP environments is highly desirable
- Strong ability to interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and site teams
- Strong understanding of installation standards, quality requirements, and safe working practices
Preferred Experiences
- Experience supporting testing, commissioning, and system handover processes
- Familiarity with relevant mechanical and construction standards
- Experience working on fast-track, multi-contractor construction projects
