Job description

Who You'll Work With

You are someone who thrives in a high-performance environment, bringing a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit to tackle meaningful challenges that have a real impact.

In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we’ll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to help you quickly broaden your expertise, grow into a well-rounded professional, and contribute to work that truly makes a difference.

When you join us, you will have:

  • Continuous learning: Our learning and apprenticeship culture, backed by structured programs, is all about helping you grow while creating an environment where feedback is clear, actionable, and focused on your development. The real magic happens when you take the input from others to heart and embrace the fast-paced learning experience, owning your journey.
  • A voice that matters: From day one, we value your ideas and contributions. You’ll make a tangible impact by offering innovative ideas and practical solutions, all while upholding our unwavering commitment to ethics and integrity. We not only encourage diverse perspectives, but they are critical in driving us toward the best possible outcomes.
  • Global community: With colleagues across 65+ countries and over 100 different nationalities, our firm’s diversity fuels creativity and helps us come up with the best solutions. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from exceptional colleagues with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Exceptional benefits: On top of a competitive salary (based on your location, experience, and skills), we provide a comprehensive benefits package to enable holistic well-being for you and your family.
Your Impact

You will take end-to-end ownership of the professional development and staffing for a cohort of consultants across the Nordic office while working closely with consultants, partners, and other team members. You will be based in our Oslo office in Norway. You will acquire and continuously refresh a sound understanding of a dedicated industry’s/sector’s key clients, hot topics, and firm expertise/staffing pools that are relevant to bring the best of the firm to a given study. Your work will help to ensure consultants are appropriately staffed in teams where they can leverage their experience, have opportunities to learn and develop, including positive team experience. At the same time, you will help Engagement Directors (EDs) to navigate staffing, find the best‑fit profiles and help them compose the team accordingly. You will monitor each consultant’s development, career progression, and other career‑related topics as they arise and provide your consultants with formal and informal feedback related to their staffing and evaluations. You will work closely with Development Group Leaders (DGLs) and industry/practice leads, to ensure that consultants receive timely and required development opportunities, while reflecting needs in client service. You will build strong, trust‑based relationships with consultants including an in‑depth understanding of professional aspirations, experience, strengths, development needs, and relevant personal skills. You will build capabilities to appropriately guide and support the consultants in their journey and staffing. You will report and manage the information flow in the required systems. Moreover, you will own the reporting for one or more industry sectors to create transparency and support decision‑making for our sector leadership. In addition, you will foster community building among the colleagues in those practices by implementing formats which help consultants and leadership to connect, exchange and build lasting mentoring and sponsorship relationships. You will also work and assume responsibility for a variety of ad hoc as well as special projects surfaced by the office leader, professional development leaders and other key stakeholders. Driving lasting impact and building long‑term capabilities with our clients is not easy work. You will be working in a high performance/high reward culture - doing hard things, picking yourself up when you stumble, and having the resilience to try another way forward. In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities you need to become a stronger leader faster than you ever thought possible. Your colleagues—at all levels—will invest deeply in your development, just as much as they invest in delivering exceptional results for clients. Every day, you’ll receive apprenticeship, coaching, and exposure that will accelerate your growth in ways you won’t find anywhere else.

Your Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's or master's degree or vocational education with a higher degree
  • Passion for people development combined with excellent interpersonal, coaching and team skills; ability to build great relationships with consultants, partners, and international colleagues
  • High level of drive, initiative, leadership and judgment
  • Excellent organizational capabilities, including the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams proactively, initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion
  • Proficient in rational decision making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning
  • Ability to create work product-focused materials / outputs, which may include PowerPoint decks, Excel models, articles, or other written deliverables
  • Strong analytical skills to gather, visualize, and analyze professional development/HR related facts in detail
  • Comfort with engaging with and managing conflict
  • Exceptional time management to meet your responsibilities in a complex and largely autonomous work environment
  • Ability to work or attend meetings outside of traditional business hours or take on projects with limited or no notice at times
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, in English are required, additional skills in Norwegian are preferred, with the ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels
