Job summary

Business Sweden in Oslo is seeking a motivated Associate to join our team at the intersection of business, diplomacy and international growth. From our Oslo office you will support Swedish companies expanding into Norway and build cross-border partnerships.

You will work with executives, entrepreneurs and public stakeholders, gaining exposure to senior decision-makers while contributing to trade, investment, and innovation across the Nordic region.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field and 1–3 years of experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal English; Swedish and/or Norwegian language skills are highly meriting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to present market insights.
  • Commercially minded with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting, analyzing, and presenting market intelligence and business insights.
  • Supporting Swedish companies in identifying customers, partners, and growth opportunities in Norway.
  • Managing interactions with clients, industry stakeholders, and public-sector representatives.
  • Supporting consulting projects through market research, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and project delivery.
  • Supporting sales activities through prospecting, lead generation, proposal development, and client dialogues.
  • Preparing and arranging executive events, trade delegations, roundtable discussions, and B2B meetings.
  • Building expertise within priority industries and growth sectors.
  • Driving your own initiatives while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team.

Business Sweden is looking for a motivated and entrepreneurial Associate to join our team in Oslo.

This is a unique opportunity to support Swedish companies expanding into Norway, help build cross-border business partnerships, and contribute to projects that drive trade, investment, and innovation across the Nordic region.

Business Sweden works with leading multinational companies, scale-ups, and innovative SMEs across a wide range of industries. Our advisory services include market entry and growth strategies, partner and customer identification, business development, public affairs support, and commercial opportunities linked to major industrial and societal transformations.

From our office in Oslo, you will join a small and ambitious team while being part of Business Sweden's global organization spanning more than 40 markets worldwide. You will gain exposure to senior decision-makers, international business challenges, and some of the most dynamic sectors shaping the future, including defence & security, energy transition, healthcare, digitalization, industrial transformation, and sustainable infrastructure.

Your responsibilities

The role includes both strategic, tactic and operational responsibilities including:

  • Collecting, analyzing, and presenting market intelligence and business insights

The role offers a steep learning curve, significant responsibility, and direct exposure to senior executives, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers.

The role is based in Oslo, but you will be expected to work with our teams and clients around the world, as required.

Formal requirements
  • Master of science in Business, Economics, Engineering, Political Science, International relations or equivalent

  • You have a high level of proficiency in English. Swedish and / or Norwegian language skills are highly meriting
