Job summary

M Group is seeking an MEICA maintenance engineer to deliver preventative maintenance on controls and instrumentation across multiple sites in the UK. You will perform reactive maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, and calibration, while installing new systems and commissioning them in line with BS7671 18th Edition standards.

Role involves travel between sites using a company van; you may support projects outside your usual area, with notice provided.

Qualifications

  • ONC/HNC in engineering or equivalent qualification required.
  • Industrial experience in MEICA/controls maintenance preferable.
  • Proven experience with instrumentation and telemetry connections.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver preventative maintenance of controls and instrumentation.
  • Perform reactive and corrective maintenance, fault finding and repairs.
  • Replace and calibrate instruments, install new systems and equipment, and commission per BS7671 18th Edition.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and relevant standards.
  • Travel between sites using company van and fuel card; occasional cross-region support.

This role will be within our MEICA and capital maintenance team. Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.

What will you be doing?

You'll be responsible for the delivery of preventative maintenance of controls and instrumentation.

You'll perform reactive and corrective maintenance, fault finding, and repairs.

You'll replace and calibrating instruments, installing new systems and equipment, and commissioning, all in line with BS7671 18th Edition standards.

You'll ensure compliance with The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974

You'll adhere to industry, British, International, and customer standards, as well as M Group Policies, Procedures, and Safe Systems of Work.

You'll work across a range of sites, using your M Group company van and fuel card to travel between locations. On occasion, you may be required to support projects outside your usual area, with sites spanning from Scotland to Exeter. Where additional travel is required, reasonable notice will always be provided.

What you’ll bring
  • Have you successfully completed ONC/HNC in engineering (or equivalent), NVQ, or C&G qualification?
  • Do you have industrial experience?
  • Have you got proven experience in instrumentation and telemetry connection?
  • Can you demonstrate commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols?
  • Do you have a valid UK driving licence?
