Job summary

Sensori Group, a Sisk Company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer — Site Delivery to lead mechanical systems design coordination and on-site execution for construction projects. You will translate design intent into buildable solutions, drive BIM coordination, manage interfaces with clients and subcontractors, and ensure safe, high-quality handover.

You will oversee procurement, installation, QA and cost control, coordinating with the Project Manager and EHS lead to maintain safety and schedule

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years with recognised MEP or mechanical delivery teams on construction/installation projects.
  • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent; trade qualification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, enclosures and installation best practices.
  • Proficiency with Revit or AutoCAD to produce fabrication details and isometrics.
  • Experience with project planning software (Primavera/MS Project) and project reporting.
  • Experience with cost control, variations and valuations; on-site QA/QC.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all mechanical systems within your package, ensuring alignment with design and procurement.
  • Coordinate with clients, main contractors, suppliers and subcontractors to resolve issues and maintain momentum.
  • Review IFC drawings and drive BIM coordination to install-ready outputs.
  • Generate, track and close RFIs and technical queries to unblock progress.
  • Support project safety, QA, and handover processes on site.
  • Oversee site operations, manage labour and plant efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with Sensori policies and procedures by suppliers.

Sensori is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer — Site Delivery to manage mechanical systems design, coordination and on‑site execution for our mechanical installations. You will translate design intent into buildable solutions, lead BIM coordination, manage stakeholder interfaces, and ensure safe, high‑quality delivery from mobilisation through handover.

Responsibilities
Core responsibilities
  • Manage all mechanical systems within your package, ensuring design, procurement and installation align with project requirements.
  • Liaise with client design teams, main contractors, suppliers and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and maintain delivery momentum.
  • Review design/IFC drawings and specifications to fully understand scope; drive the coordination process so BIM outputs become installation‑ready drawings.
  • Generate, track and close Requests for Information and technical queries to remove blockers and protect the programme.
  • Work with the Project Manager and Sensori EHS lead to establish, maintain and close the project safety file and ensure safe working practices on site.
  • Set up and maintain site QA records in collaboration with Sensori’s QA lead and ensure installations meet the project QA plan.
  • Coordinate engineering activities with the Project Manager, consulting engineers and client milestones to prevent engineering delays impacting the critical path.
  • Manage all cost and resource elements for your package, including Sensori mechanical teams, subcontractors, materials, plant, variations and valuations.
  • Oversee daily site operations, resolve technical issues, and ensure efficient use of labour and plant.
  • Ensure Sensori policies and procedures are flowed down and followed by suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Track subcontractor progress and manpower; ensure weekly coordination meetings are held and minuted.
  • Operate the in‑progress snagging system; ensure supervisors issue weekly punch lists and distribute actions to subcontractors.Submit direct labour and subcontractor hours for central tracking; produce internal and external weekly progress reports showing percent complete by WBS, risks and KPI status.
  • Issue weekly cost reports, manage material take‑offs and the Engineering Materials Report, schedule deliveries to match the programme and track receipts.
  • Tender and supplier assessment — prepare subcontract and supplier tender packages with the QS and assess returns for technical compliance with design intent.
  • BIM leadership — set up BIM priorities: develop modular concepts, typical fabrication details and isometrics for construction; validate model assets and control change management.
  • Evaluate and promote new engineering practices that shorten delivery time, improve quality or reduce cost.
  • Support and mentor junior engineers on the project team to build capability and ensure consistent delivery standards.
  • Deliver final account, O&M manuals, punch lists, safety and QA files, material and plant relocations and final project documentation with the project team.
  • Maintain a weekly photographic diary and ensure all inspection, test and handover documentation are complete.
  • Other duties — attend planning and whiteboard sessions as required and perform additional tasks necessary for successful project delivery.
Experience
Required experience and skills
  • Minimum 5 years working with recognised MEP or mechanical contractors, consultancies or in‑house delivery teams on construction or installation projects.
  • Trade qualification or third‑level degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, enclosures, mounting systems and mechanical installation best practices.
  • Competent with Revit, AutoCAD or equivalent and able to produce fabrication details and isometrics.
  • Familiar with project planning software (Primavera, MS Project or equivalent) and project reporting systems.
  • Experience with cost control, variations and valuations.
  • QHSE knowledge — solid understanding of quality, health, safety and environmental requirements on site.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills; ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Strong planning, prioritisation and time‑management skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
