Job summary

Fluor is recruiting a Contracts Manager for a large-scale metals project in Norway. The role focuses on managing supplier contracts, minimising variations, and closing out agreements, while ensuring compliance with company policies and EH&S standards.

The successful candidate will act as the client’s representative, lead contract negotiations, and liaise with project teams to manage commercial risk and timely decision-making on contract matters.

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent and eight years of work experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including management, clients, vendors and contractors.
• Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal statutes and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Act as the client’s representative in contracts and make timely decisions on their behalf within the bounds of the contract
• Communicate clearly with suppliers to enable execution of contract scopes of work
• Control change orders and minimize contract variations
• Advise Project Manager and Steering Committee on commercial/contractual risks and mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with EH&S, legal, engineering, operations, procurement and finance policies
• Work with the procurement team in closing out contracts
