Qualifications

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include management, co-workers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Norwegian language would be very beneficial but is not 100% mandatory

Responsibilities

• Act as the client’s representative in contracts and make timely decisions on their behalf within the bounds of the contract
• Clearly communicate (written and verbal) with the suppliers on behalf of the client to enable suppliers to execute the contract scopes of work in accordance with the contract
• Control change orders and keep all contract variations to an absolute minimum
• Advise Project Manager, project team and Steering Committee on commercial/contractual risks and present and manage strategies and actions to mitigate client’s risk
• Ensure compliance of client activity, project team or otherwise, under the contracts is in accordance with EH&S, legal, engineering, operations, contractor services, procurement and finance policies and procedures
• Work with the procurement team in closing out the contracts

Our client, a globally leading EPC, seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to support procurement and supply chain activities carried out on a large-scale metals project in Norway.

About the Role
