Job summary

Clarion Hotel Air is seeking a Conference Host to join the Meeting & Event team. This extra‑help role involves welcoming guests, guiding attendees, and coordinating event logistics across sessions and venues.

No prior experience is required; you should be positive, energetic and a quick learner. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are advantageous. Shifts include evenings, nights and weekends with start date to be agreed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with event organizers to understand event objectives, logistics, and attendee expectations.
• Welcome guests and provide information about evacuation procedures, restrooms, meals, and other event details.
• Manage attendee flow throughout the conference and ensure smooth transitions between sessions.
• Oversee conference room setup, furniture, refreshments, technology, and equipment; conduct pre‑event inspections.
• Assist with technical setup and troubleshooting for presentations and events.
• Monitor attendee satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in conference rooms and public areas; handle basic maintenance tasks.
• Check and finalize invoices for smaller conferences in consultation with the manager.
• Prepare and manage daily event schedules (PMs) including last‑minute changes.
• Ensure timely delivery of items and services; manage conference supplies and orders.
• Stay informed about ongoing events and upsell opportunities within the conference department.
• Plan and manage tasks independently, including shift work and weekend duties.
