Job summary

IKM Consultants AS is seeking an experienced commissioning engineer for a temporary assignment based in Stord with mobilization to Stavanger and offshore work. You will plan, execute, and supervise commissioning activities for designated systems, and serve as a specialist in HMI and process control during testing.

The role requires a degree in engineering, minimum five years in commissioning, and proven NORSOK project experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of commissioning experience.
• Proven experience on NORSOK projects.
• Strong knowledge of system-based commissioning.
• Familiarity with project completion systems; PIMS is an advantage.
• Knowledge of cyber security requirements.
• Extensive experience with process control and control room operations.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a specialist in HMI and Process Control, providing knowledge for control setup and operation during testing.
• Develop, review, and implement commissioning procedures.
• Contribute to the review and verification of project documentation and drawings.
• Coordinate with various disciplines to ensure efficient and safe execution with a strong focus on HSSE.
• Plan and execute commissioning activities according to project timelines.
• Provide input and track progress within the project completion system (e.g., PIMS).
• Participate in MC punch-outs and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) at supplier locations.
• Ensure a smooth transition of the plant and equipment to the operations team upon completion.

Required expertise

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field; extensive relevant experience may be considered equivalent.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in commissioning.
• Proven experience from NORSOK projects.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of system-based commissioning.
• Familiarity with project completion systems; experience with PIMS is an advantage.
• Knowledge of cyber security requirements.
• Extensive experience with process control and control room operations is highly desirable.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Language: English and Norwegian

Location: The position has a base location onshore in Stord, with required mobilization to a construction site in Stavanger and subsequent offshore work.

Work schedule: Full-time

Duration: Temporary assignment from June 2026 to December 2027.
