DNV is seeking a Business Development Manager – Strategic Projects in Oslo to translate strategy into customer-value opportunities and lead cross-functional change across the maritime domain. You will work with shipowners, operators, yards, and regulators to shape scalable services and partnerships.

As a Business Development Manager – Strategic Projects in our Strategic Business Development and Innovation unit, you will be at the heart of strategic growth opportunities that can become scalable products and services. Backed by DNV’s leading reputation, global network, and extensive resources, you will help turn industry insight into customer value and long-term impact.
The role calls for a business developer who can take the strategy, translate it into what it means for customers and for DNV, and lead the change through practical, phased steps that build the foundation while delivering value along the way. Your contribution will help address some of the maritime industry’s most important challenges. Externally, this means working with shipowners, operators and partners to understand their operations and shape services that create real value for them. Internally, it means connecting the relevant parts of the organization towards shared goals and direction. You will balance between external customer engagement and internal alignment, depending on where you can create the most value in each case.
You should excel at understanding customer needs and challenges, and leverage DNV’s strengths to help drive innovation into commercially viable and operationally realistic services for both DNV and our customers. You will earn and strengthen DNV’s reputation every day by representing our independent third‑party role with credibility and by building trust through insight, collaboration, and delivery. While sales focus on closing deals and driving immediate revenue, Business Development in DNV emphasizes identifying and developing strategic opportunities, partnerships, and market positioning leading to new and long‑term growth.
