Qualifications

• Norwegian PhD or equivalent in interaction design, design of intelligent user interfaces and interactive systems, human-computer interaction, information science, media technology and design, computer science, or related field.
• Document academic qualifications equivalent to associate professor position.
• Demonstrate ability to teach and supervise at bachelor’s, master’s and PhD levels.
• English as working language; willingness to acquire Norwegian language to B2 within three years.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research at internationally recognized level in HCI, interactive systems, AI and related areas.
• Teach and supervise in the Media and Interaction Design programs (BSc/MSc).
• Develop and lead independent research projects with external funding.
• Strengthen collaboration with industry and media technology partners.
• Participate in academic administration and program development.
• Contribute to department’s academic and social environment and regular presence at work.
• Work in Bergen, with physical presence at the Department.

Education

Norwegian PhD or equivalent in interaction design/AI/ICT

Associate professor qualifications (documentation)

Pedagogical competence (educational)

Ability to teach/supervise at bachelor’s, master’s and PhD levels

Mastery of English as working language

Willingness to acquire Norwegian language (B2) within 3 years
