Job summary

OCHE Holding; Oslo flagship venue seeks an energetic Assistant Manager to lead shifts and deliver outstanding guest experiences. You will work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth operations and strong results, including managing the bar, floor and gaming areas during peak periods.

You will motivate the team, handle guest feedback, assist with staffing and scheduling, and help maintain high standards of service, safety, and compliance.

Qualifications

OCHE Oslo is our flagship venue and the heart of our brand. We are now looking for an energetic, hands‑on Assistant Manager to help us deliver outstanding guest experiences and strengthen our position as one of Oslo’s leading destinations for social gaming, events, food and drinks.

THE ROLE

As Assistant Manager, you will be a key member of the venue’s management team, working closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth operations, strong results and consistently high standards.

This is a fully hands‑on role. You will work actively alongside the team during service welcoming and serving guests, supporting the bar, floor and gaming areas, and stepping in wherever needed. Much of your working time will be spent leading shifts and participating directly in service, particularly during evenings, weekends and peak trading periods.

You will lead by example, support and motivate the team, resolve operational challenges and help create a positive environment for both guests and employees. You will also act as the General Manager’s deputy when required.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading shifts and working alongside the team during service
• Welcoming and serving guests and supporting all operational areas as required
• Ensuring efficient operations and consistently high service standards
• Motivating, supporting and developing employees
• Handling guest feedback and resolving issues promptly
• Supporting staffing, training, onboarding and scheduling
• Monitoring quality, costs and operational procedures
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety, food safety and alcohol licensing requirements
• Contributing to sales, profitability and guest-satisfaction targets
• Supporting the General Manager with planning, reporting and venue development

Ideally, you will:

• Have leadership experience from a restaurant, bar, hotel, events business or another high-volume hospitality environment
• Have strong practical experience in guest service
• Enjoy leading shifts and working directly alongside the team
• Understand sales, staffing and cost control
• Be a clear, inclusive and motivating leader
• Maintain high standards of service, quality and presentation
• Be flexible and available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Communicate confidently in English and preferably in a Scandinavian language
