Job summary

EGON Bodø is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations, partner with the Kitchen Manager and leadership team, and ensure high standards. This is an operational leadership role with scope for growth into Kitchen Manager.

You will train staff, plan shifts, monitor food quality, HACCP compliance, and support budgets while maintaining EGON's renowned service level. English communication is required; Norwegian is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience from a busy à la carte kitchen.
• Able to lead a team in a fast-paced environment with initiative.
• Strong focus on quality, efficiency and cost control.
• Communicates well in English; Norwegian is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and production.
• Maintain consistent food quality and EGON standards.
• Follow HACCP procedures and food safety requirements.
• Train onboarding and support kitchen staff.
• Assist with staff scheduling and shift planning.
• Monitor orders, stock levels and inventory.
• Support the Kitchen Manager with routines and leadership.
• Foster cooperation between kitchen and front-of-house.
