Job summary

EGON Bodø is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to support daily kitchen operations, maintain EGON standards, and work closely with the Kitchen Manager and General Manager.

You will lead by example, train staff, plan schedules, supervise hygiene, and ensure food quality and safety. This is a leadership track with opportunities to progress to Kitchen Manager; English communication is valued, Norwegian knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a busy kitchen and managing daily operations.
• Strong focus on quality, standards and safety procedures.
• Proven ability to train, motivate and oversee kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in daily kitchen operation and production.
• Maintain consistent food quality and EGON standards.
• Follow IK-MAT / HACCP procedures and food safety requirements.
• Train onboarding and support kitchen employees.
• Assist with staff schedules and shift planning.
• Monitor orders, stock levels and inventory.
• Support routines, organization and day-to-day leadership.
• Foster collaboration between kitchen and front-of-house teams.
