Job summary

Xelvin is recruiting a Welding Operator for a major renewable energy project in the Netherlands. You will operate semi-automated welding equipment, maintain machinery, and ensure high-quality welded plates for offshore wind turbine structures.

Welding Operator a Key Role in the Production Process!

This company a leading manufacturer of massive steel pipes (up to 2,000 tons) for offshorewind turbines, you will be part of a dedicated and close-knit team. As a Welding Operator, youtake on a vital role in managing our machinery and ensuring the production of high-qualitywelded plates—some as long as 27 meters. These plates are eventually shaped into the steelstructures that power the global push for renewable energy.

What Will You Be Doing? :

• As a Welding Operator, you'll utilize semi-automated welding equipment to create weldsfollowing precise welding procedures (WPS). You’ll be responsible for setting up and operatingthe machines correctly, as well as performing routine maintenance to keep everything runningsmoothly. By taking care of the equipment, you ensure it operates at its best.
• Your attention to detail is crucial when it comes to testing and verifying the welded steelstructures, ensuring they meet strict standards and specifications. You’ll document productiondata, maintain relevant records, and report on the status of operations.
• In this role, safety is paramount. You’ll follow all regulatory guidelines, remain vigilant forpotential hazards, and take steps to mitigate risks, ensuring a safe working environment foryourself and your colleagues.

What do we offer you?

Contract wise:

• 2-year contract of 40 hours per week (with potential of long-term employment).
• 25 paid holidays a year (+ potential ADV days)
• Public holidays, with a maximum of 7 per year, which are paid by Xelvin
• Holiday allowance of 8.33% (instead of 8,0%) over your total gross annual income. Paideach year in May.
• Overtime and shift allowance will be paid by Xelvin accordingly.
• Travel allowance of €0,23 per km, for the use of travelling to work and back home.
• The salary will be in the range of €3000 - €3900 gross per month.
• Your 1st house in the Netherlands will be arranged by Xelvin, with the help of our HousingConsultant. In case of having to pay the 1st months rent or potential deposit, Xelvin is willingto pay it for you upfront, after which we’ll set up a loan agreement, for you to pay us back interms.
• Xelvin is certified to do VISA applications for you and your family and get your work permitin order so you can travel and start working (if required).
• A relocation assistance allowance of €3000 NET will be paid to you, to assist with the costof relocating to the Netherlands.
• You (and your family/partner) will be picked up at the airport or train station by yourconsultant/ recruiter after your arrival and will be taken to your new house.
• Onboarding: we’ll advise you on how to set up a Dutch bank account, apply for healthinsurance, getting a Dutch BSN number, writing in with a dentist and general practitioner andother useful or necessary cases to arrange.
• New Hire Dinner organized for all newly recruited engineers to make them aware of ourDutch tax system and explaining the Dutch payslip.
• A few social gatherings with all Xelvin employees and recruited engineers:
• New Years drink, where you’ll get a tour of the building and beverages and bites areserved.
• Summer BBQ, where you can grow your social circle and dance to some nice music whileenjoying the food.
