Job summary

Jobs Namibia is seeking skilled engineers for international vacancies in the Netherlands. You’ll start under supervision and progressively take on maintenance and repair work independently, inspecting diesel engines and hydraulic/pneumatic installations using control sheets, and signing off completed jobs with a colleague.

We offer a 2-year contract for 40 hours/week, with holidays, housing assistance, visa support, relocation help, and a Netherlands relocation allowance.

At the beginning you will be working under supervision. When your first months are up you will be ready to do maintenance and repair work independently. Today you check the dieselengines and then the hydraulic and pneumatic installations based on control andmeasurement sheets. You tap the job on the tablet and start together with your colleague.When you are done then you sign off the job.

Everything is done safely in this workshop. This afternoon you support technical researchand look at optimizing various maintenance jobs. Sometimes you also advise machinists/busdrivers who call you when they have a question.

Your duties in summary are:

• Perform maintenance on the vehicles
• Locate and fix fault causes
• You maintain the diesel engines & the electrical systems
• You measure the wheels and you check whether certain things are within standards.If something deviates from the documentation, you reject it.
• When something is rejected, you and a colleague make sure the right part isdelivered again, so the vehicles can leave the workshop according to the standards.

What do we offer you?

Contract wise:

• 2-year contract of 40 hours per week (with potential of long-term employment).
• · 25 paid holidays a year (+ potential ADV days)
• Public holidays, with a maximum of 7 per year, which are paid by Xelvin
• Holiday allowance of 8.33% (instead of 8,0%) over your total gross annual income. Paideach year in May.
• Overtime and shift allowance will be paid by Xelvin accordingly.
• Travel allowance of €0,23 per km, for the use of travelling to work and back home.
• The salary will be in the range of €3000 - €3900 gross per month.

Onboarding & benefits:

• Your 1st house in the Netherlands will be arranged by Xelvin, with the help of our HousingConsultant. In case of having to pay the 1st months rent or potential deposit, Xelvin is willingto pay it for you upfront, after which we’ll set up a loan agreement, for you to pay us back interms.
• Xelvin is certified to do VISA applications for you and your family and get your work permitin order so you can travel and start working (if required).
• A relocation assistance allowance of €3000 NET will be paid to you, to assist with the costof relocating to the Netherlands.
• You (and your family/partner) will be picked up at the airport or train station by yourconsultant/ recruiter after your arrival and will be taken to your new house.
• Onboarding: we’ll advise you on how to set up a Dutch bank account, apply for healthinsurance, getting a Dutch BSN number, writing in with a dentist and general practitioner andother useful or necessary cases to arrange.
• New Hire Dinner organized for all newly recruited engineers to make them aware of ourDutch tax system and explaining the Dutch payslip.
• A few social gatherings with all Xelvin employees and recruited engineers:
• New Years drink, where you’ll get a tour of the building and beverages and bites areserved.
• Summer BBQ, where you can grow your social circle and dance to some nice music whileenjoying the food.
