The Warranty Technician is responsible for the timely, accurate, and comprehensive analysis, testing, and reporting of customer warranty returns within the designated warranty system. This role ensures full compliance with internal procedures and customer requirements, delivering work that is professional, precise, and thoroughly documented. Warranty reports are often shared directly with customers, making clarity and accuracy essential. The Warranty Technician actively contributes to continuous improvement of analysis methods within their scope of responsibility and escalates issues appropriately and in a timely manner. This position operates within cross‑functional teams and frequently collaborates with internal stakeholders and customers to support quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Perform timely, accurate, and well‑documented analysis of returned warranty parts, including confirmation of failure modes through root cause identification. Support root cause analysis, problem solving, corrective actions (8D), and quality improvements across warranty, design, and manufacturing. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve test methods and documentation, linking failure modes and customer diagnostics to test procedures where possible. Manage and control customer‑returned warranty units in the database, ensuring high data quality and compliance with procedures and protocols. Document and report analysis results clearly, supporting Warranty Improvement Teams as needed. Maintain strong professional relationships with cross‑functional teams and customers while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
At least MBO education level in electronics, mechatronics, automotive engineering, or a comparable field. Strong English communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to collaborate effectively in global, cross‑functional teams. Dutch language skills are plus; for candidates not yet fluent, and willingness to learn Dutch is important. Proven experience with lab equipment (automotive testing preferred), validation processes (e.g., PPAP), and IT proficiency to navigate complex lab systems. Familiarity with Microsoft Office package, particularly Excel, for data handling, analysis, and reporting; strong organizational capabilities. Structured problem‑solving mindset with a strong focus on quality, customer satisfaction, and results‑driven performance. Strongly preferred: customer communication experience, automotive manufacturing or engineering background, quality systems knowledge (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949), (vehicle‑level) electronics troubleshooting.
Note: For this position we are looking for candidates who already live and work in the Netherlands, in addition the position requires a full‑time presence on location in Barneveld.
