Job summary

DSV in Venlo is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to manage an international team in a largely automated facility. You will combine people management with logistics insight, ensuring processes, performance and teamwork come together each day.

You’ll coordinate daily inbound/outbound activities, coach your team, resolve disruptions, monitor KPIs like productivity and lead times, and serve as the link between the warehouse supervisor and operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading teams within a logistics or warehouse environment.
  • Knowledge of logistics processes and affinity with automated systems.
  • Strong English communication skills and a coaching leadership style.
  • Proactive mindset and the ability to switch quickly.
  • Willingness to work in a two-shift schedule.

Responsibilities

As a warehouse team leader at DSV in Venlo, you manage an international team on a daily basis within our warehouses. You combine people management with logistical insight and ensure that processes, performance and teamwork come together.

At our locations in Venlo, you work in a largely automated environment where technology and data support your team. You focus on what really matters: leading people, improving performance and making the operation better every single day: you’re on it.

As a warehouse team leader, you are the connecting link between the warehouse supervisor and the operation. With your helicopter view, you know exactly what is going on, where bottlenecks arise and when adjustments are needed. You anticipate peak moments, safeguard the workflow and ensure that the right people are in the right place at the right time. You achieve this by:

  • coordinating and allocating daily activities within inbound and/or outbound;
  • leading, motivating and coaching your team;
  • identifying and resolving operational disruptions;
  • monitoring KPIs such as productivity, quality and lead times;
  • acting as the first point of contact for colleagues and the warehouse supervisor.

You bring
  • experience leading teams within a logistics or warehouse environment (3PL is a plus);
  • knowledge of logistics processes and affinity with automated systems;
  • strong English communication skills and a coaching leadership style;
  • a proactive mindset and the ability to switch quickly;
  • willingness to work in a two‑shift schedule.
