Job summary

Share is seeking a VP of Systems Engineering to build, own and lead the network-facing infrastructure: FreeRADIUS proxies, per-partner RADIUS, and the provisioning pipeline. You will work with the network and software teams to scale from 10 to 500 ISP clients, shaping architecture and standards.

This hands-on, player-coach role requires configuring FreeRADIUS, writing deployment scripts, troubleshooting production authentication, and hiring and mentoring the systems team as we grow.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional systems or network engineering experience with end-to-end ownership of RADIUS/network authentication in production.
• Deep FreeRADIUS expertise: virtual servers, unlang policies, proxy realms, SQL modules, and debugging authentication failures.
• Strong Linux administration: production servers, deployment scripts, firewalls, and OS-level networking.
• Understanding PPPoE, DHCP, IP pools, and BNG interactions with RADIUS.
• Production deployment experience, uptime, failover, and incident response.
• Ability to read a NestJS service, understand event-driven architectures, and communicate constraints to developers.

Responsibilities

• Own Share's systems function end-to-end and set technical standards for the team.
• Configure FreeRADIUS proxies, manage per-partner servers, and ensure scalable deployment.
• Own the provisioning pipeline, databases, and RADIUS configuration for performance.
• Lead infrastructure deployment, monitoring, logging, and security across all systems.
• Design and implement CoA endpoints for real-time plan changes and session disconnects.
