IPsoft Inc. is looking for an experienced Network Engineer in Amsterdam to diagnose and resolve problems across various hardware platforms, including Cisco and Riverbed. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience and strong interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.

You will be responsible for implementing operations optimizations, documentation, and mentoring junior team members, while collaborating with global teams to enhance service levels.

Job Description

• Diagnosing and resolving problems across a variety of hardware platforms and vendors including Cisco, Riverbed, F5, Palo Alto, WAN acceleration, and more across our global client base.
• Interact with clients utilizing your top-notch written and oral communication skills to provide the best support experience in the world.
• Interact with global peers within the network operations center and across other departments to solve challenging escalated problems and implement changes from simple to complex.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities and areas to optimize operations, such as documentation and monitoring adjustments.
• Document standard operating procedures, diagrams, and training materials for use by the team.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.
• Represent IPsoft through every interaction with clients, whether during a routine meeting, a troubleshooting call, or a complex implementation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a network engineer in an implementation and operational support role.
• Experience with WAN optimization using Riverbed appliances.
• Solid understanding of Cisco internetworks, routing and switching, LAN/WAN, security, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; customer advocacy experience highly preferred.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Experience creating reports with MS Office products (Excel, Visio, MS Word) strongly desired.
• Experience working with offshore/global teams desired.
• Strong desire to take on new challenges that will develop yourself and contribute to the operation at a higher level.
