Job summary

Share is seeking a VP of Network Engineering based in Amsterdam. This is a senior role responsible for the technical estate and direction of the network architecture, including advanced AI implementations. You will lead a high-leverage engineering team and drive partnerships with various ISPs across the continent.

The role demands extensive experience in managing ISP networks, expertise in BGP, MPLS, and operational experience with passive optical access. A hands-on approach to leadership and troubleshooting is crucial.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience inside an ISP or comparable network operator.
• Record of building and leading network engineering teams.
• Comfortable driving troubleshooting end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Design and own standards and reference architectures for partner ISPs.
• Lead the networking team and set the cultural bar.
• Translate technical needs for partner ISPs.

Skills

Deep BGP knowledge

MPLS in production

Operational experience with GPON or XGS-PON

Disaggregated white-box environments

Fluent in L2/L3 fundamentals

Troubleshooting skills

Partner and customer-facing maturity

Automation skills (Python, Go, Bash)
