Job summary

Strativ Group in Amsterdam is seeking a VP of Data to lead and scale its enterprise-wide data strategy in the Netherlands. This senior leadership role collaborates with executive stakeholders to ensure data is treated as a strategic asset and to drive transformation across Data, Analytics and AI.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership with data/analytics/AI in a large enterprise.

• Drive modernisation of the data landscape, including cloud transformation.

Job description

Location: Amsterdam - Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite

Salary: €140,000 to €160,000 per year + 20% bonus

We’re supporting a leading Utilities business in Amsterdam who are looking to appoint a VP of Data to lead and scale its enterprise-wide data strategy in the Netherlands.

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for shaping how data is used across the organisation, driving transformation across Data, Analytics and AI, and building the foundations required for long-term digital growth.

You’ll work closely with executive stakeholders across Technology, Operations and the wider business to ensure data is treated as a strategic asset, while leading high-performing teams across Data Engineering, Data Platforms, Analytics and Governance.

Key responsibilities:

• Own and deliver the organisation’s enterprise Data & Analytics strategy
• Lead and develop senior Data, Analytics and Platform teams
• Drive modernisation of the data landscape, including cloud and data platform transformation
• Establish strong Data Governance, quality and ownership frameworks
• Identify opportunities to embed AI and advanced analytics across the business
• Partner with C-level and senior stakeholders to align data initiatives with commercial and operational priorities
• Build scalable operating models across Data Engineering, BI, Analytics and AI
• Oversee major transformation programmes and strategic data investments
• Develop a strong data-driven culture across the organisation

We’re looking for someone with:

• Significant leadership experience across Data, Analytics or AI
• Experience operating at VP, Director, Head of Data or equivalent level
• A strong background within large-scale, complex enterprise environments
• Experience leading data transformation and modernisation programmes
• Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms, Data Governance and enterprise architecture
• Experience building and scaling high-performing technical teams
• Strong stakeholder management skills at executive and board level
• Experience within Utilities, Energy, Infrastructure or another highly regulated industry would be highly advantageous
