Job summary

Siena Partnership is seeking a Director of Data & AI to build and lead a new function in a cash-rich Private Equity backed company in the Netherlands. The role owns the data strategy and drives measurable business value across commercial, operations and risk domains.

You will architect the data platform, govern data assets and foster responsible AI, partnering with executives to accelerate adoption and scale data-driven decision making across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Led a broad, enterprise level Data & AI function.
• Built or significantly transformed a Data & AI strategy and operating model.
• Strong knowledge of modern data platforms, engineering, analytics and AI.
• Taken AI initiatives from concept through to adoption and measurable value.
• Experience linking Data & AI investment to growth, margin, productivity or customer outcomes.
• Strong executive stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Experience within a complex, international, data intensive environment.

We are supporting a confidential search for a Director of Data & AI to join a successful Private Equity backed business at an important stage of its growth.

This is a hugely exciting opportunity to join a cash rich business and set up a Data & AI function from scratch. The business operates in complex, data rich markets and is looking to significantly increase how it uses Data & AI across commercial decision making, operations, and its customer proposition.

The focus is on building a Data & AI capability that delivers measurable business value.

The Role:

The Director of Data & AI will own the Group Data & AI strategy and lead its execution across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Define and deliver the Group Data & AI strategy and roadmap.

• Develop the underlying data platform, engineering and analytics capability.
• Identify and deliver high value AI use cases across commercial, operational and risk areas.

The role has a broad enterprise mandate spanning data platforms, analytics, AI, governance and commercial applications.

The Person:

We are looking for an established Data & AI leader who combines technical understanding with strong commercial judgement.

You will ideally have:

• Led a broad, enterprise level Data & AI function.
• Built or significantly transformed a Data & AI strategy and operating model.
• Strong knowledge of modern data platforms, engineering, analytics and AI.
• Taken AI initiatives from concept through to adoption and measurable value.
• Experience linking Data & AI investment to growth, margin, productivity or customer outcomes.
• Strong executive stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Experience within a complex, international, data intensive environment.

Experience in highly regulated environments would be preferred.
