Job summary

Harvey Nash Executive Search is partnering with a high-growth scale-up to appoint a Head (VP) of Technology. This strategic leadership role focuses on shaping and delivering the technology strategy to drive growth, innovation and scalability across enterprise systems, data, AI and IT operations.

Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the leadership team, you will lead a multidisciplinary technology organisation, manage budgets and vendor relationships, and ensure governance, risk and cybersecurity

Harvey Nash Executive Search is delighted to be working with our client, a highly successful scale-up organisation who are looking to appoint a new Head (VP) of Technology. This is a strategic and commercially focused technology leadership opportunity, to lead and evolve our clients enterprise technology capabilities.

Reporting directly to the CEO and operating as a key member of the leadership team, you would be responsible for shaping and delivering the technology strategy, ensuring technology investments drive business growth, operational excellence, innovation and scalability. The role brings together responsibility for Enterprise Systems, Data & Analytics, AI & Automation, and IT Operations within a modern, technology-enabled business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a business-aligned technology strategy that supports organisational growth and transformation.
• Lead enterprise systems and digital platforms, ensuring they are secure, scalable and fit for future business needs.
• Define and drive AI and automation initiatives that improve productivity, efficiency and decision-making.
• Build and mature data, analytics and business intelligence capabilities to enable insight-led decision making.
• Lead IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity and service delivery across multiple business functions and locations.
• Partner closely with senior stakeholders to translate business priorities into impactful technology investments.
• Oversee technology budgets, vendor relationships, governance and risk management.
• Lead, develop and inspire a multidisciplinary technology organisation.
• Significant senior leadership experience across technology, IT, data and digital functions.
• Specific experience of creating an enterprise wide Technology, Digital and AI strategy.
• Experience of leadership in a fast paced, creative scale up environment.
• Experience working to board level, across all business areas.
• Proven track record of leading complex technology environments and enterprise-wide transformation programmes.
• Experience spanning enterprise applications, infrastructure, technology operations, data and AI.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align technology strategy to business objectives.
• Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing teams.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, governance, risk and operational resilience.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience influencing executive leadership teams.
• Commitment to working a minimum of three days per week in Amsterdam.
