Job summary

Swapfiets in Amsterdam is looking for a Video & Social Media Intern to join our Creative Team. You’ll help capture and edit scroll-stopping videos for socials and digital campaigns, collaborating with copywriters, designers, and marketers to support content production.

You’ll contribute to short-form video concepts for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, stay ahead of trends, and ensure high-quality visuals that align with our brand guidelines.

• Edit video footage for campaigns, ensuring high-quality and engaging content in accordance with brand guidelines.

• Review content before it goes live, ensuring high-quality and on-brand visuals.

As the Video & Social Intern at our Amsterdam HQ, you'll support content production by capturing and editing scroll-stopping videos for socials and digital campaigns. You will collaborate closely with copywriters, graphic designers, content creators as well as our brand marketing team. How you pedal us forward:

You will become a part of our internal Creative Team alongside our Content Creator, Graphic Designer, Creative Lead, Copywriter and Creative Project Manager. Next to that you'll:

• Ideate and produce short-form video content for Instagram, Tiktok and YouTube Shorts.
• Assist with coordinating, scripting, filming and directing shoots with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the content strategist to develop innovative video concepts for digital marketing campaigns that elevate our brand and resonate with the community.
• Stay updated on the latest short-form platform features and trends, turning them into impactful brand content.
• Edit video footage for campaigns, ensuring high-quality and engaging content in accordance with our brand guidelines
• Work with our talented team of designers, marketers, and content creators to brainstorm and execute fresh, exciting ideas.
• Review content before they go live, ensuring high-quality and on-brand visuals.

The gear you need:

You're studying or recently graduated with a degree in video & film, digital marketing, or a related field. Preferably you have previous experience with video editing (could be for your own channel or as a freelancer). Besides that, you are enthusiastic about content creation, and you are ready to improve your skills together with us. Next to that you bring:

• Minimum HBO-working and thinking level.
• Living in the Amsterdam area or willing to commute (please note that Swapfiets does not offer travel compensation for interns).
• Passionate about storytelling through short-form video.
• Enthusiastic user of TikTok, Instagram, and Shorts.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and skilled in using in-app video editing tools like CapCut and IG Reels.
• Proficient in capturing content with cameras or smartphones, with good knowledge of composition, color, and lighting techniques in video production.
• Efficient at organizing and managing project files and assets.
• Skilled in developing content formats and series and exporting for various platforms.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly articulate your ideas, video concepts, and suggestions.
• You have a can-do attitude, love tackling new challenges, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
• Fluent English speaking and writing skills.
• You pay strong attention to detail and have a keen eye for aesthetics.
• You are available for 6-8 months.
• You are available 40 hours per week.
• You will be enrolled in a dutch university for the whole duration of the internship.
• Can start as soon as possible.
