Job summary

CTS Netherlands is seeking an experienced Transportation Manager to lead our logistics team, optimize EU inland transportation resources, and ensure safe, compliant operations across warehousing, dispatch and fleet management.

You will report to the General Manager and build a high-performing team, set SOPs, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with customers, vendors and partners to meet targets in a dynamic international environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in Transportation/Shipping management or similar role.
• Familiarity with logistics software such as Cargowise, WMS and TMS.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Ability to work well in a self-managed team and schedule work collaboratively.

• Build, train and lead the team to meet targets and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Develop EU inland transportation resources focusing on trucking and optimize capacity and costs.
• Set up and manage internal processes, SOPs and KPIs for all business needs.
• Ensure compliance with transportation policies, safety rules, and regulations.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors and partners for smooth daily operations.

Job description

This position will report to the General Manager of CTS Netherlands directly.

Job Overview

To succeed in this role, you should have thorough knowledge of supply chain management and an understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods, dispatching orders and tracking transportation vehicles. You should also be familiar with safety processes and legal regulations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Build, train and lead the team to fulfill company/department targets and objectives, functional tasks and ensure internal/external customer satisfaction
• With a focus on Trucking services, develop EU in-land transportation resources and optimize capacity, process, performance as well as costs.
• Set up and manage internal process/SOP/KPI for all business needs.
• Ensure compliance with transportation-related policies, as well as safety rules, union contracts (if apply), and government regulations
• Communicate and coordinate with all business parties, i.e. customers, vendors and partners, to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of work experience as a Transportation Manager, Shipping Manager or similar role, with solid knowledge on supply chain management
• Familiarity with logistics software, like Cargowise, WMS/TMS
• Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills. Fluent in Dutch and English
• Must be able to work well in a self-managed team environment. This includes cooperatively scheduling work, vacation, hours and team task assignments.
• Ability to maintain productivity and professionalism while under pressure to meet targets
