Job summary

Bertelsmann-Jobs in Venlo is seeking a Supervisor Traffic to lead a high-performing logistics team. You’ll coordinate daily outbound/inbound transport, ensure KPIs and SLAs are met, and manage carriers and internal stakeholders. The role combines on-the-floor decisions with people leadership.

Working in a modern logistics environment with SAP and TMS, you’ll drive continuous improvement, coaching your team and ensuring smooth end-to-end flows across departments in a shifted dayshift.

Qualifications

• MBO/HBO level working and thinking capability.
• Experience in transport, traffic or logistics coordination.
• Experience in a supervisory or coordinating role.
• Knowledge of Excel and ERP/TMS systems, preferably SAP.
• Good command of English.
• Willingness to work shifts and full-time availability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating daily outbound transport planning and ensuring KPIs and service levels are achieved.
• Leading daily meetings with your team to review planning, priorities, and staffing needs.
• Managing and coordinating with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitoring transport flows and adjusting planning throughout the day as needed.
• Resolving escalations such as delays and shipment issues.
• Monitoring transport performance and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and costs.
• Coaching and motivating your team to maintain high performance.
