Job summary

NTU International A/S is seeking a Non-Key Expert – Trade & Business Climate to support technical assistance for EU-funded programmes in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific. The expert will work on trade development, investment climate, private sector development, and regional economic integration.

Required are a university degree (postgraduate preferred) with extensive experience in trade policy, business environment reforms, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• University degree, preferably postgraduate, in economics, international trade, business administration, development economics, finance, public policy.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to draft high-quality reports in a culturally sensitive context.
• Strong knowledge of trade, business climate, investment and/or private sector development, contextualised to PNG and the Pacific.
• Ability to work independently within multidisciplinary teams; willing to travel internationally and locally, including to remote areas.

Responsibilities

• Support trade policy development and trade facilitation.
• Contribute to market access analyses and regional economic integration.
• Advise on business environment reforms and private sector development.
• Engage in public-private dialogue with stakeholders and institutions.
• Provide programming, implementation, monitoring and/or evaluation support for trade-related initiatives.
