Job summary

NTU International seeks a Non-Key Expert – Gender, Human Rights & Civil Society to support technical assistance assignments focusing on gender equality, human rights, social inclusion and stakeholder engagement in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific region.

Qualifications include a university degree (postgraduate preferred) in relevant fields, excellent communication skills, and experience in development contexts with civil society and government partners. Travel to remote areas may be required.

Qualifications

• University degree, preferably postgraduate, in gender studies, human rights, social sciences, development studies, political science, sociology, law or related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to draft high-quality documents and reports in a culturally sensitive context.
• Strong knowledge of gender equality, human rights, civil society and/or social inclusion, contextualised to Papua New Guinea and the Pacific region.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to gender equality, human rights and social inclusion outcomes in EU-funded development cooperation.
• Lead stakeholder consultations and participatory processes with government, civil society and local communities.
• Support monitoring and evaluation of gender, human rights and civil society programmes and action plans.
• Provide policy dialogue and capacity-building support to national authorities and civil society partners.
