Van Storm seeks a Plan Approval Surveyor – Tonnage to join our Rotterdam area engineering team. You will perform tonnage calculations, review drawings, and issue certificates under ITC 69 and Suez Canal Authority regulations for a range of vessels.

You will collaborate with international colleagues, assess technical documentation, and stay updated on maritime regulations while managing multiple projects and contributing to safe, compliant tonnage measurements.

Formación

• Education: MBO-4 in Maritime Engineering or related field.
• Several years of maritime experience in ship design or regulations.
• Strong understanding of ship design, vessel structures, or maritime engineering principles.
• Experience with ship design, technical drawings, or onboard operations is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and work accurately.

Responsabilidades

• Perform tonnage calculations for ships per international regulations.
• Review ship drawings and documentation to determine vessel tonnage.
• Prepare and issue tonnage certificates under ITC 69 and Suez Canal Authority.
• Assess technical information for compliance with tonnage standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues and customers to clarify requirements.
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and deadlines.
• Keep up to date with maritime technology and regulations.
