Job summary

Van Storm is seeking a Senior Plans and Arrangements Engineer (interim) to join the Plans & Arrangements team, focusing on statutory ship plans for high-end naval vessels. You will translate vessel specifications and regulations into precise 2D and 3D documentation, including General Arrangement, Fire Safety, and Watertight plans.

Work closely with engineers from multiple disciplines to resolve technical challenges and ensure compliance for classification societies and clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of outfitting engineering experience (shipbuilding or offshore preferred).
• Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD tools (Cadmatic or Catia preferred).
• Familiarity with class and statutory regulations for outfitting systems.
• Full professional fluency in English (written and spoken).
• EU citizenship and passport are required due to project nature.

Responsibilities

• Produce statutory plans and outfitting arrangements using 2D and 3D CAD tools (Cadmatic and/or 3DExperience/Catia).
• Interpret and apply class, flag, statutory, and customer requirements to ensure compliance.
• Prepare and coordinate technical documentation for approval by classification societies and clients.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines to integrate inputs and ensure consistent ship designs.
• Identify technical challenges and contribute to continuous improvement within the department.
