Job summary

Van Storm Recruitment is seeking a Plan Approval Surveyor - Tonnage to join an international maritime team in Rotterdam. You will perform tonnage calculations, review drawings and documentation, and issue certificates in line with ITC 69 and Suez Canal Authority requirements.

You will work with colleagues and customers to ensure compliance while expanding your technical knowledge in tonnage measurement and certification in a flexible hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• MBO-4 Maritime Engineering or related technical discipline is required.
• Several years of relevant maritime industry experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of ship design, vessel structures and marine engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform tonnage calculations for various ship types in line with international regulations.
• Review ship drawings and technical documentation to determine vessel tonnage.
• Prepare and issue tonnage certificates per ITC 69 and Suez Canal Authority rules.
• Assess technical information to ensure compliance with tonnage standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues and customers to clarify requirements.
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and deadlines.
• Stay updated on maritime technology and regulatory developments.
