Job summary

GXO Logistics in Hoogeveen is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a fast-paced, high‑volume warehouse operation supporting a major Dutch supermarket customer.

You will manage 70–250 colleagues across three shifts, drive safety, productivity and service through KPI dashboards, and partner with HR to maintain a positive, results‑driven culture that delivers against targets.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large operational teams across multiple shifts.
• Strong experience with KPIs, productivity targets, service levels and reporting.
• Ability to analyse performance data and take action to close gaps.
• Experience managing absenteeism and performance conversations with HR.
• Commitment to health and safety and a proactive safety culture.
• Hands-on, resilient leadership with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Experience with Lean or continuous improvement is a plus.
• Good working knowledge of warehouse systems and reporting tools.
• Fluent communication in English and Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse operations across a three-shift environment, ensuring safety, service, quality and productivity.
• Manage and develop a large operational team of 70–250 colleagues across shifts.
• Drive performance through KPIs, dashboards and operational data; own productivity and labour planning.
• Collaborate with HR and site leadership to manage absenteeism and performance conversations.
• Build a strong customer partnership while championing health and safety, continuous improvement and standardisation.
