Job summary

Neways Electronics International NV in Leeuwarden, Netherlands, is seeking a Test Engineer to shape test strategy and build the test setup for our products. You’ll work with hardware and software, designing and programming tests and deploying them in production, with a focus on electronic test solutions.

You will improve existing and new tests, review customer requests, and guide fellow testers. A direct impact on product quality and manufacturing efficiency awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to read, interpret and analyze technical documentation.
• Affinity with software development and testing concepts.
• Strong verbal and written communication in Dutch and English.
• Proactive problem solving and teamwork in a cross‑functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Continuously improving both existing and new tests and test methods.
• Reviewing customer requests with the Account Engineer or Account Manager from a Test Engineering perspective.
• Discussing outsourcing of testing to Neways production locations abroad.
• Advising electronics developers on the testability of new products.
• Preparing test documentation and maintenance instructions.
• Guiding and training testers and repair technicians on newly developed tests.
• Collaborating within a four‑person Test Engineer team to ensure rapid detection of issues.
