Job summary

Neways Electronics International NV in Leeuwarden, Netherlands, is seeking a Test Engineer to shape test strategy and build the test setup for our products. You’ll work with hardware and software, designing and programming tests and deploying them in production, with a focus on electronic test solutions.

Qualifications

• Preparing test documentation and maintenance instructions.
• Guiding and training testers and repair technicians on newly developed tests.
• Collaborating within a four‑person Test Engineer team to ensure rapid detection of issues.

Job description

As a Test Engineer, you are responsible for using your electronics expertise to develop both the test strategy and the test setup for our products. You work with both hardware and software, designing and programming the test setup and implementing it in the production environment where the testing takes place. This is a development‑focused role, with a strong emphasis on creating electronic test solutions.

You analyze existing designs and determine the most complete and effective test strategy. You do this in close collaboration with colleagues and electronics developers, both internally and externally at the customer. After defining the strategy, you implement the tests in production. Based on the test results, you define and execute improvement actions to optimize the test strategy. We develop tests for PCBA’s as well as complete end products. Together with your colleagues—a team of four Test Engineers—you ensure that production issues are detected quickly and that defective test setups are repaired promptly.
