Job summary

Medtronic is establishing an Equipment Lifecycle Management organization in the EMEA region. As Manager, Equipment Lifecycle Management, you will lead the integration and development of the new regional organization to ensure tooling and calibration assets meet availability, compliance, and performance targets for service delivery across EMEA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, supply chain, business management, life sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant leadership experience in technical operations, equipment management, calibration, engineering support, service operations, or a comparable function.
  • Demonstrated experience leading organizational transformation, functional integration, or complex change.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and working across complex stakeholder networks.
  • Experience with supplier management, operational governance, performance metrics, compliance management, and process improvement.
  • Financial management experience, including budgets, contracts, resource planning, investments, or business-case development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the EMEA Equipment Lifecycle Management function, ensuring the availability, compliance, readiness and performance of tooling and test equipment throughout the lifecycle
  • Own the end-to-end equipment lifecycle, from demand planning and acquisition through registration, calibration, distribution, maintenance, repair, replacement and retirement
  • Drive operational excellence by reducing equipment-related downtime, improving service readiness, and supporting turnaround-time and productivity objectives
  • Develop and implement standardized EMEA-wide processes, governance, KPIs and reporting for equipment, tooling and calibration operations, ensuring accurate asset visibility and control
  • Lead supplier relationships and calibration programs, ensuring service quality, cost-effectiveness, contractual compliance, audit readiness and continuous improvement
  • Lead strategic initiatives including centralized purchasing, equipment loan pools, shared toolkits, calibration insourcing, automation and workflow optimization
  • Own financial and capacity management, including budgets, cost transparency, asset utilization and investment planning, while building a high-performing and inclusive team
  • Partner with Service & Repair, Technical Training, Product Support, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations and global stakeholders to drive scalability, compliance, operational resilience, service readiness and customer experience across EMEA.

To support the continued growth and transformation of Service & Repair (S&R) EMEA, we are establishing an Equipment Lifecycle Management (ELM) organization that brings together the Tooling and Calibration teams in one strategically aligned function.

As Manager, Equipment Lifecycle Management, you will lead the integration and development of this new regional organization. You will be accountable for the availability, compliance, reliability, visibility, and lifecycle performance of the tooling, test equipment, calibration assets, and supporting infrastructure that enable service delivery across EMEA.

You will establish the team’s operating model, governance, performance standards, and culture. You will also drive process standardization, supplier optimization, digitalization, continuous improvement, and capability development, working closely with regional and global partners to support service readiness and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
  • Lead the EMEA Equipment Lifecycle Management function, ensuring the availability, compliance, readiness and performance of tooling and test equipment throughout the lifecycle

Required Knowledge and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, supply chain, business management, life sciences, or a related discipline
  • Relevant leadership experience in technical operations, equipment management, calibration, engineering support, service operations, or a comparable function
  • Demonstrated experience leading organizational transformation, functional integration, or complex change
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and working across complex stakeholder networks
  • Experience with supplier management, operational governance, performance metrics, compliance management, and process improvement
  • Financial management experience, including budgets, contracts, resource planning, investments, or business-case development.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare technology, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, or another regulated industry
  • Knowledge of quality systems, metrology, equipment lifecycle management, supplier governance, or calibration management
  • Experience implementing automation, analytics, digital solutions, or standardized processes
  • Experience supporting new product introduction, service readiness, or operational-excellence programs
  • Lean Six Sigma, project management, or a comparable continuous-improvement qualification.
