Job summary

Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Supervisor, you will lead a team of Customer Service professionals, providing day-to-day direction, coaching and support to ensure effective, timely and accurate customer service. You will be responsible for team performance, productivity and development, while working closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

We are looking for candidates who live within close proximity to our Medtronic office in Heerlen, the Netherlands. Following your full-time training period at the office, you will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid model. Depending on the country in which you live, office-based work will vary between 2 and 4 days per week, with the remaining days working from your home office.

As of 1 July 2022, the Dutch government requires cross-border employees to be physically present in the office for at least 80% of their working hours. Please note that relocation support is not provided for this position.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
  • Manage and develop a team of Customer Service professionals, providing coaching, regular 1:1s, performance feedback and support for career development
  • Plan, prioritise and allocate daily work to ensure an effective workflow, appropriate resource allocation and high levels of team productivity and service quality
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development, promotion and reward and recognition activities for team members
  • Provide day-to-day operational and technical guidance, ensuring customer service activities are delivered in line with established processes and procedures
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders, supporting the resolution of customer enquiries, service issues and operational challenges
  • Communicate business and operational updates clearly, ensuring the team is informed and aligned with priorities and objectives
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer service processes and systems, recommending practical solutions and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support the achievement of team objectives by monitoring performance, addressing operational challenges and making effective decisions around priorities and resources
Required Knowledge and Experience:
  • Understanding of basic management approaches (work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching, process execution)
  • Professional-level fluency in English and Dutch is required; French language skills are desirable
  • Broad job knowledge of technical or operational practices within customer service.
  • Prior experience with SAP will be considered an advantage
  • Education and experience: High school/General Education Diploma (GED) with 5 years of experience, Associate’s degree with 3 years of experience, Baccalaureate degree, minimum 1 year of Customer Service Supervisory experience, or 3 years of Customer Service experience
