Job summary

Omron Industrial Automation Europe in ’s-Hertogenbosch seeks a Technical Support Engineer to support high-end inspection systems across Europe. You will train customers and distributors, perform calibrations, troubleshoot, and assist with new system introductions.

You hold a relevant technical degree, are fluent in English (Dutch a plus), and are willing to travel with a Class B license. IT proficiency and PLC knowledge are advantageous. Salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical degree
• Experience with AXI systems is a plus
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
• Willingness to travel (mostly Europe) and hold a Class B driving licence
• Strong intercultural awareness
• Advanced IT skills (Microsoft Windows / Drivers / Hardware / Software / IT & Network Administration)
• Knowledge of PLC programming and software development is a plus

Responsibilities

• Visit customers before, during, or after the purchase of inspection systems
• Demonstrate inspection systems and train customers and distributors on how to use them
• Perform calibrations, capability studies, and upgrades
• Investigate and implement potential improvements in optical inspection machines
• Troubleshoot issues with the optical inspection systems
• Assist with and participate in the development and introduction of new inspection systems
