Job summary

AD Energy Recruitment seeks a Technical Support & Commissioning Engineer for an international energy storage manufacturer in the Netherlands. The role is hybrid across field and remote work, supporting residential and commercial energy storage systems throughout the Benelux region.

You will act as the technical contact for installers, provide remote support, assist with commissioning, and troubleshoot field issues. Fluent Dutch and English, plus travel willingness, are required.

Qualifications

• Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Automation, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
• Experience in technical support, field service, commissioning, or applications engineering is advantageous.
• Native-level Dutch and fluent English communication.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Benelux region.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support

• Act as the first point of contact for installers and service partners across the region.
• Provide remote technical support via phone, email, and messaging platforms.
• Diagnose and resolve issues involving battery systems, hybrid inverters, communications equipment, monitoring platforms, and associated software.
• Escalate complex technical cases to international engineering teams where required.
• Deliver a professional and customer-focused support experience.

Commissioning & Field Support

• Support the commissioning and deployment of energy storage systems across the Benelux region.
• Conduct on-site troubleshooting, fault finding, and after-sales support visits.
• Assist with warranty investigations and hardware replacement activities.
• Deliver installer guidance and practical technical support during critical installations.

Product & Market Feedback

• Collect installer feedback and identify recurring technical challenges.
• Provide insights on local market requirements, regulations, and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with global product and engineering teams to support product improvements and localisation efforts.

Candidate Profile

Requirements

• Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in technical support, field service, commissioning, or applications engineering is advantageous.
• Experience within solar PV, battery storage, hybrid inverters, EV charging infrastructure, or power electronics is highly desirable.
• Strong electrical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Native-level Dutch language skills and fluent English communication.
• Valid EU driving licence.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Benelux region as required.
