Resolvo Engineering B.V. is seeking a Technical Service Coordinator in the Rotterdam region to be the central contact between customers, field service engineers and internal departments.

You will coordinate service activities, interpret mechanical drawings, and ensure engineers have the parts, tools and documentation needed to perform their work efficiently. Our client is an international company specialising in the design, production and maintenance of technical installations and cranes for the maritime industry. Based in the Rotterdam region, the company supports customers and projects internationally.

As a Technical Service Coordinator, you will be the central point of contact between customers, field service engineers and internal departments. You will coordinate service activities, support customers with technical questions and ensure that field engineers have everything they need to carry out their work efficiently.

This is not just an administrative planning position. A technical understanding of mechanical installations, equipment and engineering drawings is important, as you will need to understand the work being carried out and communicate effectively with customers and engineers.

Your responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding service requests, technical questions and ongoing service activities.

• Coordinate and plan daily activities for field service engineers and external technicians.

• Manage incoming service requests and ensure they are followed up efficiently.

• Support the Service Manager with planning, organisation and coordination of service operations.

• Maintain close communication with customers regarding service schedules, progress, technical issues and expected completion times.

• Coordinate with field service engineers to ensure they have the necessary parts, tools, materials and technical documentation.

• Read and interpret mechanical and technical drawings to understand installations and support service activities.

• Liaise with engineering, logistics, production and other internal departments.

• Follow up on service reports, work orders, documentation and invoicing.

• Monitor ongoing service activities and proactively resolve planning or operational challenges.

• Ensure clear communication between customers, technicians and internal teams.

• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a technical background who enjoys working with customers and coordinating technical activities.

You ideally have:

• A completed technical education at MBO+ or HBO level in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Maritime Technology or a similar discipline.

• A background as a Marine Engineer, Chief Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Service Engineer or Technical Coordinator is highly relevant.

• A good understanding of mechanical installations, machinery and technical systems.

• The ability to read and understand technical drawings and mechanical engineering documentation.

• Experience with field service, service coordination, maintenance, installations or technical project support.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• A customer-focused attitude and the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.

• The ability to communicate effectively with technicians, engineers, customers and internal departments.

• Fluent English or Dutch communication skills.

• A proactive, structured and solution-oriented working attitude.

Important: You do not necessarily need previous experience as a Service Coordinator. Candidates with a technical background in marine engineering, mechanical engineering or as a Chief Engineer who are interested in moving into a coordination and customer support role are also very welcome.

What we offer

• Salary up to €4,200 gross per month, depending on experience.

• 25 holidays plus 13 additional days off.
