Job description

DMEGC Solar is a leading China-based manufacturer of high-efficiency mono solar cells and modules, supplying many well-known solar brands since 2009. Its standard and high-efficiency modules are designed for residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects worldwide and are recognized for strong performance and cost-effectiveness. The company’s growth is driven by a commitment to product reliability, quality, and long-term partnerships with customers who value robust guarantees and consistent performance. As a dedicated solar company, DMEGC Solar focuses on helping clients achieve their renewable energy goals through high-value solutions and ongoing innovation. DMEGC Solar is part of Hengdian Group DMEGC Magnetics Co., Ltd.

Position Summary & Rationale (for official reference)

This is a core professional and technical role within DMEGC Solar’s European regional team, serving as the critical technical interface between our China headquarters and European customers, partners and regulatory stakeholders. The position is responsible for full-spectrum after-sales technical management, quality issue resolution, claim handling, on-site technical validation and customer capability building for high-efficiency PV module products.

This position has high professional barriers and special talent requirements:

  • Industry-specific professionalism: The photovoltaic industry is technology-intensive, involving specialised knowledge of semiconductor materials, PV module reliability, international testing standards (IEC series) and EU market regulations. Candidates without relevant PV industry experience cannot master the core technical responsibilities of the role within a reasonable onboarding cycle.
  • Scarce composite competency: The role requires daily, in-depth technical alignment with headquarters R&D, quality, and customer service teams in China, as well as full professional communication with European clients, laboratories, and institutions. The combination of deep PV industry expertise and native-level proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English forms a highly specific skill set that is scarce in the local Dutch and European labour market.

For the above reasons, this role requires targeted international recruitment to ensure we deliver the required level of professional technical support to our European customers.

Key Responsibilities
After-sales Quality & Technical Claim Management
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for all after-sales quality issues, bridging China headquarters and European customers and driving end-to-end issue resolution.
  • Support post-delivery quality control activities, including arrival inspection, pre-installation quality verification and performance testing of PV modules.
  • Lead and assist in EU customer claim handling, conducting technical root cause analysis, on-site issue verification and cross-party communication to ensure efficient, compliant and professional claim settlement.
  • Maintain regular technical communication with EU-based third-party testing laboratories on PV module reliability, quality compliance and testing protocol alignment.
  • Conduct regular on-site visits to large-scale PV power plants to monitor product performance, collect field operational data (e.g. performance ratio) and identify potential quality risks.
  • Establish and maintain a qualified list of local service vendors for standardised on-site claim handling and technical support execution.
Technical Support & Customer Capability Development
  • Provide professional pre-sales and after-sales technical support for EU sales activities, including technical consultation, quality standard clarification and customised solutions for customer-specific scenarios.
  • Update product technical specifications and application guidelines on an ongoing basis, and deliver professional, targeted technical solutions to customer inquiries.
  • Design and deliver professional training to EU sales teams and customers on PV product quality standards, warranty policies and common technical issue troubleshooting.
  • Systematically document customer quality requirements for both existing and upcoming products, and feed market voice (VOC) back to headquarters to drive product and service optimisation.
  • Conduct regular scheduled customer visits to maintain strategic client relationships, collect service feedback and continuously improve customer satisfaction.
Cross-team Alignment & Internal Process Optimisation
  • Collaborate closely with the European sales team to capture customer demands and feedback regarding product quality and technical service.
  • Liaise with China headquarters’ functional teams (quality, R&D, global customer service) to ensure an accurate understanding of customer inquiries and timely, professional, and formal responses.
  • Hold regular sync meetings with China headquarters teams to review all after-sales issues, customer voice, and service performance, and to drive continuous improvement of regional service processes.
On-site Execution & Ad Hoc Tasks
  • Provide on-site technical support for PV system installation, commissioning and debugging as required by customer projects.
  • Fulfil other temporary tasks and special assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
  • PV Industry Expertise: 3–5 years of professional working experience in the photovoltaic industry, with hands-on track record in technical customer service, quality management, after-sales field engineering or PV module testing. Deep familiarity with PV module technology, reliability principles and industry quality standards is essential.
  • Language Proficiency: Native or near-native proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese, with proven ability to conduct complex technical discussions, interpret professional technical documentation and negotiate formal business matters in both languages. This competency is indispensable for accurate technical alignment between European stakeholders and Chinese headquarters.
  • A valid full driving license and willingness to travel frequently across EU countries and adjacent regions (e.g. UK) as required by business needs.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering or Business; Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • Strong cross-cultural communication skills, proactive working attitude and a collaborative team spirit.
  • Open-minded problem-solving approach and ability to work independently in a cross-regional, multi-stakeholder environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in an additional European language is a strong advantage to support business expansion and localised customer service in corresponding regional markets.
  • Prior experience in a similar technical customer service or field service role within the European PV market.
  • Familiarity with EU PV market regulations, IEC 61215 / IEC 61730 standards and PV module reliability testing procedures.
  • Experience working with international third-party testing institutions and certification bodies.
Company Benefits & Others
  • Full-time position in a growing international renewable energy company;
  • Competitive salary package;
  • Opportunity to take ownership of major logistics and customer delivery projects across the European market;
  • Work in a close-knit international team with open communication and short decision-making lines;
  • Opportunity to contribute to logistics process development and operational improvement;
  • Career development opportunities within the European operations organisation;
  • Visa sponsorship can be provided for qualified candidates.
