Job summary

Suitsupply is seeking a Tech Lead Shopify to own the technical vision for its global storefront. You will lead a team of frontend engineers, define architectural direction, and set standards across markets and languages.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will balance velocity with quality, guide AI-enabled workflows, and collaborate with product managers and designers to shape the platform for years to come. Amsterdam HQ, dynamic growth expected.

Qualifications

5+ years building production web apps with React/TypeScript in Next.js; 2+ years as Tech Lead.
Experience with headless commerce and APIs, CMS integrations, and multi-market e-commerce.
Strong architectural vision, code quality mindset, and leadership across teams.
Proven ability to drive AI adoption in software development and improve developer experience.

Responsibilities

Define and own the technical architecture of the storefront across markets, languages, and devices.
Lead frontend engineers through architectural decisions, code reviews, and hands-on guidance.
Make technology choices, patterns, and trade-offs with clear rationale for team and stakeholders.
Balance delivery velocity with technical health and manage technical debt.
Own integration strategy from Shopify APIs to CMS and third-party systems.
Define testing strategy with QA for unit, integration, and end-to-end coverage.
Set and raise the bar for performance, accessibility, security, and reliability.
Drive the frontend chapter and establish shared standards for development practices.
