Job summary

SuitSupply is hiring a Tech Lead Shopify to own the technical vision for our global headless storefront on Shopify Hydrogen. The role focuses on React/TypeScript, monorepo architecture, and multi-market scalability.

You will lead frontend engineers, set standards, and ensure quality and performance while making architectural decisions that shape the platform for years to come. Amsterdam HQ, international team, strong growth paths.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience building production web applications with React and TypeScript, in Next.js is a plus.
At least 1 year in a Tech Lead or equivalent leadership role.
Systems thinking with architecture design for multi‑market/global scale.
Experience with headless commerce and Shopify Hydrogen or similar platforms.
Strong focus on code quality, performance, security, and observability.
Excellent communication skills across engineers, product, and leadership.

Responsibilities

Define and own the technical architecture of the storefront across markets, languages, and devices.
Lead a team of frontend engineers through architectural decisions, code reviews, pairing, and hands-on guidance.
Make the call on technology choices, patterns, and trade-offs, and communicate the reasoning to the team and stakeholders.
Balance delivery velocity with technical health; manage technical debt and investments.
Own the integration strategy with Shopify APIs, UI Extensions, Sanity CMS, and third-party systems.
Define the testing strategy with QA for unit, integration, and end-to-end coverage.
Set and raise the bar for performance, accessibility, security, and reliability.
Drive the frontend chapter and establish shared development standards.
