Job summary

Unicorn Hospitality Services is seeking a flexible housekeeping team leader for an apart-hotel in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. You will lead the housekeeping team to ensure that all guest rooms and common areas are clean and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.

Together with the Housekeeping Manager you will help ensure operations run smoothly and that guests have a brilliant stay. You will train, guide and motivate staff, ensure brand standards, meet cleaning deadlines for check-in

Qualifications

• Experience leading housekeeping teams in hotels or serviced apartments.
• Ability to train staff and enforce cleaning standards.
• Willingness to work weekends and handle physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead housekeeping team to maintain guest rooms and common areas to high standards.
• Provide support, training and guidance to the team.
• Check rooms and public areas for cleanliness and brand standard compliance.
• Meet cleaning deadlines for check-in rooms and assist with cleaning when needed.
• Educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene.
• Respond to guest requests and resolve issues.

Job description

We are looking for a flexible housekeeping team leader to join our Unicorn team in The Netherlands for an apart-hotel in Rotterdam. Do you have a passion for making spaces shine and to create great energy with a team?

As a “Unicorn”-team leader you will lead our team of housekeepers to make sure that all the guest rooms and common areas are clean and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. Together with the Housekeeping Manager you will help ensure our housekeeping operations run smoothly and that all guests have a brilliant stay in this serviced apart-hotel!

What You Will Do

• Provide support, training and guidance tot the housekeeping team
• Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge/lobby areas for cleanliness and ensure Brand standards!
• Make sure cleaning deadlines are met for check-in rooms
• Participate in cleaning, when needed
• Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards
• Create “wow” moments for our guests
• Work in a supportive and dynamic team and motivate team members!
• Respond to customer complaints and special requests
• Previous experience from cleaning and operations in hotel/apartments
• Flexible, professional and capable to work under pressure
• Excellent customer, organizational and team management skills
• Stamina to handle physical demands of the job
• Must be flexible and willing to work on weekends
• English language is required, other languages are a plus
• You communicate professional and easily both with team members, clients and guests
