Job summary

Siemens in The Hague is seeking a Finance Team Lead to manage a team of 5–8 Project Controllers and report to the Finance Head of the Business Unit. You will combine people leadership with a solid project controlling background across global projects.

You will oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial performance while collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders in an international environment. This role offers hybrid working, ongoing training, and international exposure.

Qualifications

• Master or bachelor degree in Business Administration/Economics.
• At least 10 years of experience with all aspects of project controlling in a large international organization.
• Strong affinity with financial and commercial topics; experience in controlling international projects.

Due to growth of the finance team as a result of successful sales results, we are looking for a Finance Team Lead to manage a team of 5-8 Project Controllers and who reports to the Finance Head of the Business Unit.

This role requires a strong affinity with financial and commercial topics, as well as experience in controlling the financial aspects of international projects. It offers the opportunity to lead and further develop a team of Project Controllers while contributing to successful project and business outcomes.

Success in this position is driven by a combination of people leadership capabilities and a solid project controlling background in an international environment. A good understanding of tax, legal and financial topics, together with the ability to collaborate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, is essential.

Take your Project Controls career beyond the numbers. Lead, coach, and develop a growing team in a dynamic business environment, together with three fellow Team Leads and a culture built on collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Day to Day business

• Allocate resources to projects and optimize capacity of the team
• Support and coach your team on complex topics
• Be involved in complex bids and projects, partially you also act as the senior Project Controller in the sales phase
• Monitor the progress of the projects and with your team prepare the monthly project reviews
• Make sure that the financial books and records of the projects are always compliant in line with reporting standards
• Initiate and contribute to process optimalization initiatives
• Continuously work on development of the team with a special focus on the team members with a junior profile

• Completed a master or bachelor degree in Business Administration/ Economics
• At least 10 years of experience with all aspects of Project Controlling in a large international organization
• Insight into SAP R/3 Business Warehouse, MS Office and IFRS
• Proficient in spoken and written English
• Shown experience working in a sophisticated work environment
